For an internationally operating organization with local subsidiaries in 55 countries, specialized in added value network services, Drosthagen has carried out the first phase of a 3-year business plan, among which was the reduction of specific activities. During the interim management period the needed organizational changes were made, among which the reduction of organizational units and tuning the specific marketing activities.
Bank 1
At the department Corporate Networking of and internationally operating bank, Drosthagen has fulfilled the function of manager Project Engineering, with as primary assignment the engineering of voice- and data networks within the bank. Besides the day-to-day operational leadership to approximately 80 persons, the assignment was changing the culture and cooperation within the transformed organization (from a traditional line management organization to a project based matrix organization). Molding the organization and developing understanding and basis for the newly created working methods and cooperation models are the areas in which Drosthagen fulfilled its role.
Bank 2
At a major nationally operating bank, Drosthagen was brought in for the further development of de department Network strategy. From out of the role of Manager Network Strategy, by means of daily questions in the area of network infrastructure, a structural building of management development and the operational guarantee of it, is secured within the line organizations. In the period concerned a number of extensive migration programs is prepared and realized within the organization.
Real estate
For a leading service providing organization within the realty market, Drosthagen has fulfilled the role of interim manager Operations. Drosthagen had the responsibility for advising on management decisions, exploiting the operational ICT-infrastructure and the implementation of an extensive renewal of the ICT-infrastructure. This renewal was needed to introduces several new services which were to belong to the kernel activities, such as electronic commerce applications via Internet. Drosthagen also had the request during this assignment, to look into the possibilities of contracting out several services.
